Arduino TFT Screen Selection

Currently using a Nokia LCD for the pool monitor display but I may want to swap it out for something a little bigger and that’s in color.

Below is an example from someone’s online project of the Nokia screen in action:

 

 

This might be good enough for my project but I want to see what else is out there for more polished options. There is a TFT library for the Arduino that seems to work with a lot of available standard TFT screens from multiple vendors.

 

Found the following options that could work:

Adafruit 2.8″ TFT LCD

 

 

Adafruit also has a 2.8″ TFT LCD Touchscreen Version

 

These screens will take up some pins so would have to take that into account:

The display uses digital pins 13-9. Touchscreen controller requires I2C pins SDA and SCL. microSD pin requires digital #4. That means you can use digital pins 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and analog 0-5. Pin 4 is available if not using the microSD
